Francisca M. (Vitale) Barbera, age 89, of Canton, passed away Tuesday evening in her home surrounded by her family after a brief illness.

She was a life resident of Canton. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cono Barbera who passed away on Oct. 11, 1979; her parents, Leone and Francisca (Pidala) Vitale; two brothers, Joseph and Leo Vitale; four sisters, Rose Vitale, Jennie Norcia, Mary Marsh and Victoria Vitale; two son-in-laws, Harold Mayle and Daniel Johnson.

She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, three daughters and son-in-law; two brothers and sisters-in-law; 23 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.

A concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial will be sung Saturday, March 31, 2001, at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony Church with Rev. Fr. John Zuzik and Rev. Fr. Tom Bishop. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Friday 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the ROSSI Funeral Home.
