Doe Hill: Mr. J. Harvey Armstrong passed to his reward on March 4, 1931, at the age of 62 years and 15 days. He was sick just a few days, death resulting from pneumonia and complications. He leaves to mourn his loss his widow and 11 children: Raymond and Mrs. Denver Simmons, who live near, Mrs Carrie Siron of Illinois, Mrs. W.F. Cavell, Mrs. S.T. Martin and Mrs. L.J. Edelblut of Richmond, Va., Robert of Cochransville, Pa., Woodrow, Florence, Marie and Lynn at home. He also leaves four brothers and two sisters, John L. of Harmon, W.Va., Geo. Wesley of Doe Hill, Will of Mt. Solon, and Jared M. of Spring Creek, Va., also Mrs. Will Crummett, and Mrs. Eli Michael of Augusta County. Funeral services were conducted Friday at 11 a. m. from McKendree church, Rev. L.M. Moffett officiating.
