The deceased was born in the village of Sacle, Province of Brandenburg, Germany on March 6, 1840, where she grew to womanhood. In August 1867 she together with her parents, brother and sisters, emigrated to America, landing at Manitowoc, Wis., to make their future home. On Dec. 1, 1867 she was united in marriage to Carl Koch, also of Manitowoc where they lived till September 1878, when they moved to a farm about 2 miles southeast of Brillion, which was their home till 1897, when they sold their farm, and moved to the village of Brillion where she resided until her death. Her husband preceded him in death 21 years ago.
This union was blessed with six children, two of whom, Emil and Edward are dead, and four that are living to mourn her death. They are W. A. Kock, C. F. Koch of Brillion, Wis., John Koch of Manitowoc, and Mrs. Martha Jensen of Milwaukee, Wis.
