Edward Jackson (Jack) Taylor - Metter - Edward Jackson (Jack) Taylor, 86, died Saturday morning at his home. The native of Ware County lived most of his life in Candler County. He was a member of the Metter First Baptist Church for over 50 years, was in the Antioch Sunday School Class and was a Deacon for several years. He was a retired farmer, having been selected as Man of The Year Soil Conservationist in 1964, was in the Army serving in India and Burma in WW II. He loved doing woodwork and spending time with his family.

He was predeceased by his son Keith Taylor, grandsons, Jason Kemp and Russ Bowen and son in law, Lynwood Kemp.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Grace Johnson Taylor; daughters and sons in law, Jackie and John Robert Bowen, Marie and Sherrill Motes; daughter, Betty Kemp; sisters, Marjorie T. Sutton and Eloise T. Cowart all of Metter, six grand-children and 10 great -grandchildren, Dear friends, Ray and Cindy Tootle and Leslie Shuman and caregivers Marsha Lee and Connie Saenz.

Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m., Sunday at Morgan Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday at Metter First Baptist Church with burial in the Lake Cemetery.
