Romanian doctor who went to China in 1939 to treat soldiers of the People's Liberation Army during the war with Japan. He remained until 1948. Also served in the Spanish Civil War.


Born Iacob Laub-Kranzdorf to Eliezer "Leizer" Laub-Kranzdorf and Sara Laub-Kranzdorf.

Married 1) Ghizela Goldstein. She died in 1944 from a typhoid outbreak in the Yunnan Province, China.

Married 2) Zhao Jingpu "Nelly" in 1946. She returned to Romania with him, and when he died she returned to live in Shanghai, and brought his remains with her.
