Ian Skyler White was born on January 19, 1986 in Kansas City, Mo. and blessed the lives of his parents [names removed] White. He delighted his big sister who thought he was her personal "living doll".

Ian was educated in the Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools. He attended Stony Point South Elementary School, Arrowhead Middle School, Sumner Academy and graduated from Washington High School in 2004. He played football during his middle school and high school years, continuing an interest cultivated as a young child playing flag football with the "Mean Machine" team.

He also developed an interest in playing golf, something that he continued to do with his dad and friends.

Ian was a 15 year member of Jack and Jill of America and participated in numerous community service and social development activities.

Following graduation from high school, Ian attended Fort Scott Community College and Kansas City Kansas Community College.

Ian developed a passion for cooking and the food service industry which led him to enroll in the Culinary Arts Program at Johnson County Community College. He made a decision to leave that program when he had an opportunity to work in a management position at Freddy's Frozen Custard and Steakburgers and later becoming the general manager at Ingredient in Lawrence, Kansas.

Ian attended First AME church where he was a member of the youth choir, youth usher board, YPD and served as an acolyte. He accepted Christ as his savior at an early age and was baptized by Rev. L. C. Drew.
