Last rites for Frank Meske, 68, were held at St. Hedwig’s Church here on Monday, Nov. 23rd at 10 a.m. Father Francis Disher said the requiem Mass, assisted by Father Connie Chilicki and Father Przybylski.
Mr. Meske, a well-know cheesemaker of the Town of Reseburg (Clark Co., Wis.), passed away at his home there at one o’clock Friday morning, Nov. 20th, 1959 of a heart attack.

The deceased was born in Chicago on July 30, 1891, and resided there as a boy. He came to Thorp with his parents in 1903 and lived on a farm in the Town of Withee until manhood. Starting to learn the art of cheese making at an early age, he pursued the profession for nearly fifty years and at various periods owned and operated several factories in the vicinity of Thorp. He still owned and operated the Lone Pine Cheese Factory and store located in Reseburg at the time of death. For a short time he operated a farm near Abbotsford.

He was united in marriage to Anna Bojarski on June 24, 1924 at St. Hedwig’s Church, Thorp.

Surviving him are his wife, Anna, one son, Joseph, two daughters, Delores, Mrs. Leon Tylka of Thorp, and Theresa, Mrs. Bob Huls of Chippewa Falls, two brothers, George and Harry Meske of Thorp, and one sister, Margaret Mueller of Chicago.

He was laid to rest in St. Hedwig’s Parish Cemetery. Pallbearers were Casimer Bojarski, Joe Bojarski, Tony Bojarski, Stanley Bojarski, Walter Bojarski and Charles Mueller.
