Donald Glen Mattox June 20, 1929 August 23, 2005 Visitation for Donald Glen Mattox will be held at Basham Funeral Care (3312 Niles Street) on Sunday, August 28, 2005 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Chapel services will be held in the Basham Funeral Care Chapel on Monday afternoon, August 29, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pastor Doug Davis will officiate. Donald was born June 20, 1929 in Broken Bow, Nebraska and he passed away August 23, 2005 in Bakersfield, California with his family by his side. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Luella Mattox; son, Rodney Mattox; daughter, Connie Mattox-Anderson; grand-children, Christy Humphries, Joe Parrish and Rodney Mattox Jr.; great-grandchildren, Hailey Schaeffer and Michael Lewis; sisters, Faith Harrold, Darlene Mattox and Carolyn Miles; brothers, Max Mattox, Joe Mattox, all of Nebraska; and Dale Mattox of Wyoming. As well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Donald moved to Bakersfield from Nebraska in 1957. He retired as a welder in 1994. Donald was a wonderful husband, father and grand-father. He had many interests including restoring old cars and square dancing. He was loved by all that knew him and he will be greatly missed.
