Born Paula Jeanne Fisher on August 10, 1945, in Springfield, IL. she was the daughter and only child born to Glenn and Lillian (Kupfur) Fisher. She graduated from the Marshalltown High School's Class of 1963.
In January of 1966, she was united in marriage to Royal Young in Marshalltown. They shared a love of automobiles together (especially Corvette's for her!) that caused a bond. They made their home on Mormon Ridge all their married lives where she raised and rode horses and enjoyed making crafts, jewelry, growing plants and collecting blue cobalt glassware. She was passionate about helping animals and was very creative in making things that came to her mind.
Left to cherish her memory are Royal, her loving husband of 48 years, her son Greg (Kris) Young of rural Albion and daughter Lisa Young of Des Moines, her three precious granddaughters- Ashlen, Adisyn "Addie" and Ava Young as well as her sister-in-law Louisa Young and her sons Mark and Erik of Boulder, Colorado, and many, many friends.
In death, she rejoined her parents Glenn and Lillian.
