Deceased Name: Lassie Culling Adams
Lassie Culling Adams, 84, a resident of 1800 Plymouth Court, Dubuque, since 1940, also of East Montpelier, Vt., died Friday, June 17, 2005, at home.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery. The Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home, 2659 Kennedy Road, is in charge of arrangements.
She was born on Dec. 2, 1920, in Kansas City, Mo., daughter of C. Reuben Culling and Dorothy Townsend.
She was an interior decorator for many of Dubuque's finer homes. She was a longtime volunteer for the Hillcrest Baby Fold and The Finley Hospital Sunshine Circle. She was an active environmentalist.
Surviving are her children, John T. Adams, of Cincinnati, Diancy T. Adams, of Montpelier, Vt., Lucretia (Fred) Ball, of Harbor Springs, Mich., Reuben C. Adams, of East Montpelier, Paul R. Adams, of Dubuque, and Holly T. Adams, of Santa Fe, N.M.; and 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; and a grandson, Christopher Harding.
The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Bob, Bea and Tracy, of Home Instead, who cared for Mom at home for more than a year, Debbie Maiers, who provided special personal care for several years, and Hospice of Dubuque.
