WEST COLUMBIA—Graveside service for Louise "Weesie" Yow Price, will be held at 12 noon, Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Northside Baptist Church. Dr. Steve Cloud will be officiating. The family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, August 26, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Northside Baptist Church, Senior Adult Group, "XYZ Program", 4347 Sunst Blvd., Lexington, SC 29072 in "Weesie" honor.
Mrs. Price, beloved wife of Robert Blair Price, Sr., passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2013. Born in Monroe, NC, she was daughter of the late Julius Duke Yow and Glennie Aycoth Yow. She was a longtime resident of West Columbia formerly of Monroe, NC. She was head of the Senior Adult Group, XYZ Program for 38 years at Northside Baptist Church. She was a part of the Homebound Program and a member of the Friendship Bible Class and worked with preparing food for the Bereavement Committee. Although in later life Weesie was not able to visit people, she continued to encourage them to seek the love and grace of Jesus Christ our Saviour.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 60 years, Robert Blair Price, Sr., of West Columbia; daughter, Rhonda P. Motes (Douglas W.) of Evans, GA; son, Robert Blair Price, Jr. (Deborah Doles) of West Columbia; her two loving and adoring grandchildren, Anna Grace Price and Robert Blair Price III; sisters, Faye McCoy of Matthews, NC, Beatrice Webb of Monroe, NC, Charlene Pepper of Charlotte, NC and Betsy Manus of Monroe, NC; brothers, Donald Yow and Robert Yow both of Monroe, NC, almost as a grandchild, Michael Shawn Kesner. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Ervin Yow, Ward Yow and Duke Yow.
