Ava - Mrs. Evelyn Cory, 67, widow of Edgar Cory, died yesterday in a Utica hospital.

She was born in Indiana, the daughter of Lester and Jennie Russel Drumb. The family moved to Michigan and then to Rustburg, Va., where Mrs. Cory attended school.

Mrs. Cory taught school in Virginia for one year before moving to New York State. She graduated from Telegraphers School in Watertown and was employed by the New York Central Railroad, St. Lawrence Division as an agent and telegrapher. While working she received her bachelor's degree from Potsdam State Teachers College.

She was married to Edward Monaghan in 1933. He died in 1943. She married to Mr. Cory in 1947. He died in 1958.

She was a member of the Methodist Church, Watertown.

She leaves three sisters, Mrs. Helen Pribble, Ogdensburg, Mrs. Bessie Hutton, Camden, and Mrs. Cecile Staring, Ava, with whom she made her home, and two brothers, Frederick Hugh Drumb and Jay Glenn Drumb, both of Gouverneur.

The funeral will at Wednesday from the Trainor Funeral Home, Boonville, with Rev. Alton A. Parker, pastor of Boonville Methodist Church, officiating.
