Everett Dean Byrd, 56, of Rt: 2, Pulaski, died early this morning at his home.

He was born Nov. 2, 1924 in Carroll County.

He was the son of the late John Letcher and Ludema Bruner Byrd.

He was a WWII veteran, a member of the Church of God of Prophecy on Macgill Street Pulaski and a furniture worker.

He is survived by hiw wife, Beulah Earley Byrd; four daughters, Mrs. Billy (Connie) Bishop, Pulaski, Mrs. Darrell (Brenda Sue) Quesenberry, Pulaski, Mrs. Wayne (Janet) Roseberry Lexington NC and Mrs Henry (Linda) Heath, Barren Spring, Step daughters, David (Deborah) Wright of Pulaski and Miss Maiie Edwards of Dublin, and one step-son, Mark Edwards, private, U.S. Army, Fort Rucker, Ala. Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. Ruby Callahan of Roanoke; two brothers, Willie Byrd of Cloverdale and Clyde Byrd of Greensboro, N.C., and 10 grandchildren.

The funeral will be Wednesday, at 2 p.m. from the Church of God of Prophecy. Macgill Street, Pulaski, with the Rev. M.B. Hale officiating. Interment will follow in the Thornspring Cemetery. Friends may call anytime Tuesday and the family will receive friends and relatives froni 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Bower Funeral Home Pulaski.

The body will be placed in the church at noon Wednesday to lie instate until the service. Full military honors will be conducted at graveside by the Hillsville VFW. Bower Funeral Home Pulaski is handling arrangements.
