Jeffery A. Conner II, 18, of Du Quoin, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2005 at the Crossroads Community Hospital in Mt. Vernon.
Jeff was a student at John A. Logan College. He also worked at Phoenix Property Management. He was a member of the Bethel Lutheran Church in Du Quoin. He was a member of the Du Quoin Jaycees and treasurer for the Youth Group at church.
He was born January 2, 1987 at Du Quoin, IL, the son of Jeffrey A. and Sherry A. (Lucas) Conner.
He is survived by his mother - Sherry A. Wertz and husband Pete of Du Quoin, sister - Jennifer L. Conner of Du Quoin, grandparents - Joyce Lucas of Du Quoin, Harley and Eva Conner of Du Quoin, Ray and La Donna Bryce of West Frankfort and Barbara Wyant of Benton, stepmother - Carla Dare and husband Jeff of Freeman Spur, two stepbrothers - Robbie Key of Freeman Spur and Ryan Saverhage of Benton, fiancée - Jami Roznowski of Du Quoin, and numerous aunts and uncles including Lonnie Mifflin and wife Dori of Du Quoin, Michelle Morrison and husband Dave of DeSoto, Darold Lucus and wife Heather of Marion, Billie Pflug and husband Mike of Princeton, IN, James B. Wertz and wife Jill of West Frankfort, Jamie Lucas of Monroe, LA, Richelle Wilson and husband Shane of Clarksville, TN, and Michael Brandon Lucas and wife Gail of Dalonega, GA.
He was preceded in death by his father and paternal grandmother - Betty Conner Alvis.
