1920 Obituary Parowan, Utah
Benjamin Hoyle Dead
Suffered from Cancer of the Stomach,
which Caused His Death Friday Night.
We are again called to chronicle the death of a respected citizen, one who was well and favorably known throughout this portion of the state.
Benjamin Hoyle, the deceased, had suffered for a considerable length of time with a malady that the physicians were somewhat puzzled over, and finally an exRay examination was resorted to, to determine his ailment, which was finally pronounced cancer of the stomach.

He was too weak to undergo an operation at the time of the examination and succumbed to the disease Friday night.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in the tabernacle. Appropriate remarks were made by Elders Wm H Lyman, Walter C Mitchell and Morgan Richards. Fitting selections were rendered by the choir, and a solo by L J Adams.

Benjamin Hoyle came here an orphan boy, 10 years of age, and tasted some of the hardships of the early days. He was always industrious, upright in his dealings, unassuming and highly respected by all who bore his acquaintance.

He is survived by his wife and two sons, who have the sincere sympathy of the community in their hour of sorrow and loss.
