He was born October 30, 1942 in St. Marys, son of the late George and Irene Hoehn Crawford. He was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of St. Marys High School, Class of 1960. He was a retired employee of Osram-Sylvania.
He is survived by his wife, Yvonne A. Gillen Crawford; two sisters, Ada Steinbach of St. Marys and Sister Maureen (Ann) Crawford CDS of Canton, OH; two sisters-in-law, Edna Crawford and Betty Crawford; and nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, William Crawford, Cletus Crawford, John Crawford, and Thomas Crawford; and two sisters, Dorothy McKelvey and Patricia Conklin.
Mr. Crawford was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served in the US Army.
There will be no visitation.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church on Friday, August 23, 2013, at 10:00 AM, with the Rev. Eric Vogt, OSB, Pastor, officiating. Full military rites will be accorded by the St. Marys Servicemen's Burial Detail. Burial will follow in the St. Mary's Cemetery.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to a favorite charity.
