Thomas P. Crawford, 78, of 136 Rettger Street, St. Marys, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at the UPMC Hamot Hospital in Erie after a lengthy illness.

He was born October 31, 1934 in St. Marys, son of the late George and Irene Hoehn Crawford. He was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of St. Marys High School, Class of 1952. He retired from SGL in 1997 after 43 years of service.

On October 10, 1958 in Emporium, he married Betty Condederio, who survives. He is also survived by a son, Jeff Crawford and his wife Connie of St. Mary; two grandchildren, Francesca Crawford and Michael Crawford; two sisters, Ada Steinbach of St. Marys and Sister Maureen (Ann) Crawford CDS of Canton, OH; a brother, Fred Crawford and his wife Yvonne of St. Marys; and by nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy McKelvey and Patricia Conklin; and three brothers, Bill Crawford, Cletus Crawford, and John Crawford.

Mr. Crawford was a member of the Sacred Heart Church, where he served as an usher. He was a Veteran of the Korean War, having served in the US Army, was a member of the St. Marys Servicemen's Burial Detail, the Austin Costello Sportsmen's Club, the May Hollow Sportsmen's Club, and the St. Marys Sportsmen's Club. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the CMF, a life member of the Emporium VFW, a member of the St. Marys American Legion, and the Senior Center.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church on Saturday, August 3, 2013, at 9:00 AM, with the Rev. Eric Vogt, OSB, Pastor, officiating. Full military rites will be accorded by the St. Marys Servicemen's Burial Detail. Burial will follow in the St. Mary's Cemetery.

Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Friday evening, August 2, 2013, from 5:00 till 8:00 PM.
