New Munich, MN - Mrs. Mary Zierden, 71, died Tuesday at the St. Cloud Hospital. She married Mathias Zierden May 11, 1920 in Albany and has been a lifetime resident of the area.
Mrs. Zierden is survived by children, Hubert, Albany, MN; Arthur, Sauk Centre, MN; Jerome, Edmund, Valerian, Mrs. Virgil (Theresa) Rademacher, Mrs. Herbert (Dolores) Dierkhising and Rosemary, New Munich; Mrs. Ralph (Lucille) Fischbach, Melrose, MN; Mrs. Alcuin (Margaret) Borgerding, Freeport, MN; and Sr. Geraldine, St. Joseph, MN; 55 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother and sisters, William Whesler, Chicago, IL; John Whesler and Mrs. Ann Pundsack, Albany, MN; Herman Whesler, St. Martin, MN; and Mrs. Katherine Koshenina, Pierz, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband and a son, Mathew.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and a member of the Christian Mothers and Catholic Aid Society of the parish.
Funeral services are at 10:30 am Friday from Immaculate Conception Church with burial in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call at the Schoenecker-Schad Funeral Home, Melrose, after 5 pm today.
Immaculate Conception parish will have a prayer service at the funeral home at 8:30 pm Thursday and the Christian Mothers will say the rosary at 8 pm Thursday.
