Katherine Andrick Bekkedahl, age 103, was born in Columbia Furnace, Virginia on July 16, 1910 daughter of Charles Edward Andrick and Virgie Day. Katherine died August 14, 2013 peacefully in her sleep at her home in Pompano Beach, Florida where she had lived for the past 47 years.
Katherine was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dr. Norman Bekkedahl.
She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie and son-in-law Joe Vaughn of Coral Gables, Florida; three grandchildren, Dr. Christopher Vaughn of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Stephen Vaughn of Annapolis, Maryland, and Katherine Vaughn of Coral Gables; five beautiful great- grandchildren; sisters, Elizabeth Jones and Louise Walters; and brother, Cecil Andrick, all living in Virginia; plus many wonderful nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by the following siblings:
