Michael (Mike) William Moose, age 35, passed away unexpectedly on August 20, 2013, at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital. Mike was born on May 24, 1978, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Debbie and Bill Moose. Mike lived in Maryland until age 15, when his family moved to Alliance, Nebraska. In 1996, at age 17, Mike moved to Denver, Colorado to attend Denver Technical College. He met his loving wife, Erin Chaney, in 1997. Mike and Erin were united in marriage on July 22, 2000. On January 19, 2003, Mike and Erin were blessed with a daughter, Katelyn Michelle; and then again with a son, Logan Michael, on February 12, 2007. Mike owned and operated Moose Heating and Air Conditioning, in Centennial, Colorado, from 2004 to 2010. In 2010, Mike moved his family to Clinton, Missouri. After earning his National Master Mechanical License, he began working at Free Energy in Independence, Missouri, as an HVAC Specialist and then as a Project Manager, until his death.
Mike was a devoted husband and father. He loved living in Clinton because he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He liked being one with nature and would often go out in the woods by himself and call in coyotes, or just sit quietly observing.
