Donald P. Riebe, age 79, of 1701 S. 25th Street, Manitowoc, died Monday morning, August 19, 2013 at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.

He was born on June 20, 1934 in Manitowoc, son of the late Dell and Sophie (Tadych) Riebe. Don was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1952. On November 26, 1955 he married the former Sherrill Moore at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Don was employed with Wisconsin Public Service, retiring in 1998. He was a member of the Manitowoc Eagles and Kenny's Athletic Club.

Survivors include his wife: Sherrill Riebe; two sons and daughters-in-law: Richard & Gail Riebe, Terry & Jean Riebe; a daughter and son-in-law: Laura & Richard Schwarz, all of Manitowoc; five grandchildren: Benjamin Riebe & his special friend Elizabeth, Sonya Riebe, Ryan Riebe, Danielle & Andy Plagenz, Dixon Schwarz & his special friend Samantha; two step grandchildren: Dan (Felicia) Gauthier, Shannon Boyer; one great grandson: Victor; and three step great grandchildren: Joey King, Katie Boyer and Erica Marcelle. Also surviving are five brothers and two sisters-in-law: Dell & Maureen Riebe, Paul & Faye Riebe, Kenny Riebe, Curtis Riebe, Larry Riebe; two sisters: Sister Francette Riebe, Lynn Karnitz, all of Manitowoc; and three brothers-in-law and five sisters-in-law: David & Diane Moore, Oshkosh, Dennis & Rogene Moore, Manitowoc, Dennis & Kathy Alfson, Manitowoc, Carolyn Alfson, Valders and DeeDee Alfson, Sturgeon Bay. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law: John & Kate Moore; two sisters and brothers-in-law: June & Jack Boswell, Joan & Joseph Kennedy; two brothers-in-law: Hubby Alfson & Ray Alfson; four infant brothers and sisters; and two sisters-in-law: Ceil Riebe & Ruth Riebe.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. David Beaudry with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.

The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m (TONIGHT), August 20, 2013. Friends may also call Wednesday morning at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, Manitowoc, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
