Roy McArthur (Mac) Arrington, 68, of Porter House Rd., Concord, went home to be with his Lord, on Thursday, December 9, 2010 in Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the wife of Clara Hatfield Arrington.
Born in Red House, VA., on March 25, 1942, he was a son of the late Charlie Taft and Della Templeton Arrington. Mac was a member of Thomas Terrace Baptist Church and a retired driver for Thompson Trucking.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Teressa and Timmy Doss of Appomattox and Tracy and Chris Johnson of Concord; four grandchildren, Jessica Cates, Michelle Bryant, Hunter and Jacob Johnson; two great-grandsons, Jackson Cates and Nicolas Bryant; on brother, Sanford Arrington and wife, Reba of Richmond; seven sisters, Nell Scott and husband, Willie of Gladys, Mae Brunson and husband, Jim of Lynchburg, Irene Bowman and husband, Mack of Concord, June Wood and husband, David of Trenton, GA., Pat Wingfield of Richmond, Ann Arrington of Rustburg, and Linda Moon and husband, Danny of Spout Spring; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, J. C. Arrington.
Funeral services were held 12:00 noon, Saturday, December 11, 2010, in Thomas Terrace Baptist Church by the Rev. Mark Grooms. Burial followed in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
Robinson Funeral Home and Cremation Service was in charge of services.
