Funeral services for Christopher L. Miller, 70, of Elvaston were held Wednesday, Oct 30, at 2 p.m. in the Kilgore Memorial Home, the Rev. Ben Haddick officiating. Music was furnished by Mrs. Ralph Denison at the organ. Casket bearers were Russell Campbell, Clay Wildrick, Glen Price, Jack Heagy, Charley Long, and Luther Bennett. Interment was in Harris Cemetery in Dallas City. Mr. Miller died Sunday, October 27, 1957, he was a son of William R. and Ellen O. Pruitt Miller. On May 18, 1913 he was married to Rilla Hubbard in Carthage. He was a retired farmer and had lived in Elvaston since 1941. Surviving are the widow; 4 daughters - Mrs. Richard Moon of Oregon; Mrs. Clyde Dickerson and Mrs. Frank Cox of Carthage; and Mrs. Ruby Klemme of Crette; one son, Chrissie of Warsaw; 12 grandchildren; 2 sisters - Mrs. Thelma Rogers of Plattsmouth, NE; and Mrs. Lily Andrews of Hocomo, MO; and 2 brothers - Ira Miller of Edina MO, and John Miller of Carthage.
