Katherine Sackman was born in Ashley ND, October 13, 1895, a daughter of Martin and Barbara Schmidt Sackman. She grew up in Ashley until the family homesteaded on the Fallon Flats in 1912. In 1950 they moved into Fallon.
She enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, painting and gardening.
Miss Sackman, 94, died July 7, 1990 in Dawson Medical Center at Glendive. Three sisters survive her; Regina, Rebecca, both of Fallon and Melly Wenz of Fairfield.
