Songwriter. He was educated at the Albany Law School and practiced law in New York City until 1920. In 1921, he relocated to Hollywood and became a charter lawyer for the Achenbach Graphic Arts Council (AGAC). He joined the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) in 1922 and started a career as a songwriter. His popular-song compositions included "Neapolitan Nights", "Love Me", "Counting the Days", "Have You Forgotten?", "Do You Ever Think of Me?", "Paradise" and "That's My Girl".
