Adolph Arn Rites Set for Tomorrow

MONTICELLO ~ (Times Special) ~ Services for Adolph Arn, 77, who died yesterday at St. Clare hospital, will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow in Zwingli Evangelical and Reformed church.
Rev. A. R. Achtemeier, church pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Highland cemetery. Friends may call at the Voegeli funeral home.

A retired cheesemaker and dealer, Mr. Arn was born March 8, 1879, in Wagenried, Canton Bern, Switzerland. He was the son of Jacob and Verena Mosimann Arn.

He came to America in 1896, and settled in the New Glarus area where he was a cheesemaker. Mr. Arn came to Monticello in 1906 and entered the wholesale cheese business in a partnership of Arn and Zweifel. He retired in 1937.

He was a member of Zwingli Evangelical and Reformed church, Monticello Union Masonic Lodge, the Eastern Star and the New
Glarus Masonic chapter.

His wife, the former Louise Stalder, whom he married March 3, 1910, died in 1937.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. John Streiff Jr., and Mrs. Clarence Wittenwyler, and a brother, Alfred Arn, all of Monticello, and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Sam Luchsinger, Monticello, and Mrs. Christ Bringold, Verona, and four brothers, John, Monticello; Ernst and Fred, New Glarus, and Gottfried, Orangeville.

— Services for Adolph Arn, 77, veteran cheese dealer of Monticello who died Thursday, were held at 2 this afternoon in Zwingli Evangelical and Reformed church. Rev. A. R. Aditemeier, church pastor, officiated. Burial was in Highland cemetery. Pallbearers were Otto E. Bontly, Arthur Esctoer, Dr. J. M. Harden, W. S. Hoesly, Traugott Senn, Ernest Schuerch and Christ Yaussi.
