Hugh Bryant Eidman (I found his middle name listed as Brian, Bryan and Bryant, with more times as Bryant)was born January 20, 1883, in Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas to Seaman Oscar Eidman and Virginia "Gennie" Elnora Gregory. Hugh was of medium height, medium build, had brown eyes and brown hair. He married Beulah Nichols in March of 1908. No children were listed. As were many other Texas Rangers, Hugh was a stockman. He lived in Bay City, Matagorda County, Texas. He enlisted in the Texas Rangers as a LOYALTY RANGER on June 10, 1918 thru October 23, 1918, and then was deceased. He had been a retail merchant for men's clothing in Matagorda County. He died October 23, 1918 in Bay City, Matagorda County, Texas. He was stricken with influenza and died in a few days. He was buried in Cedervale Bay City Cemetery, in Bay City.
