IRA E. ACHORN
Ira E. Achorn, 84, died on January 2nd at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Benner, in North Uxbridge, Mass., after a short illness. He was born in Waldoboro on June 15, 1868, the son of Alden and Isabelle Pease Achorn, and was educated in the Waldoboro schools. Mr. Achorn leaves three daughters, Mrs. Benner with whom he made his home, Mrs. Stanley Stellick of Staffordville, Conn., and Mrs. Jennie Nolan of Waltham, Mass.; a son, Raymond, Whittensville, Mass; ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Sunday at 1:00 p.m., at the Flanders Funeral Home in Waldoboro with Rev. Philip Palmer of the Waldoboro Methodist Church officiating. Interment was in the Rural Cemetery, Waldoboro.
