Mr. William Cullen Allen age 76 of Smyrna, passed away Wednesday, August 14th.
A memorial service will be held 3 PM Saturday, August 17th at Northern Heights Baptist Church. Interment will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Cordele, GA.
A native of Bronwood, GA Mr. Allen was a longtime resident of Cobb County. He served in the National Guard and later retired from the City of Atlanta after 30 years.
He was very active in the Boy Scouts and was one of the founding members of Troop 88 at the First Baptist Church of Smyrna. He was a member of Milford Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife Louise, brothers and sister, John & Robert Allen and Rosa Lee Ray.
Surviving are: 2 Sons – William Brent (Ingrid) Allen of Dunwoody, Thomas Lee (Suzanne) Allen of Charlotte, NC, Brother George Allen of Odessa, TX, 2 Sisters – Edna Mathis of Cordele, Janye Miller of Vienna, 4 Grandchildren – John, Kathryn, Nathan & William Allen, several Nieces and Nephews.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Food for the Poor.org.
