Sara (Hoover) Corson Gardner, 72, of Inman, SC, died Sunday, August 14, 2005, at her home.
Born March 25, 1933, in Picture Rocks, PA, she was the daughter of the late George Elmer and Stella Mae (Snell) Hoover.
She was a 3rd shift WalMart greeter at the Dorman Center and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband, Gerald Gardner of Inman; four daughters, Linda Bower and her husband James of Muncy, PA, Lois Tessneer and her husband Jackie of Landrum, Karen Young of Muncy, PA, and Brenda Wensell of Inman; a son, Robert Corson of Mill Hall, PA; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins, and devoted friends.
She was predeceased by a son, George Irvin Corson; two daughters, Annette Rae Corson and Darlene Louise Corson Marze; a grandson, Steven William Young; four brothers, William Ralph Hoover, Leroy Ray Hoover, Kenneth Hoover, and Raymond Hoover; and two sisters, Alice Gertrude Hoover Sherwood and Luella Tessie Hoover Cox.
Visitation was held at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel.
Graveside services were held at 12:00 noon Wednesday, August 17, 2005, at Boiling Springs Memorial Gardens conducted by Chaplain Alan Taylor.
Memorials could be made to Hospice Special Needs Fund, 120 Heywood Avenue, Suite 300, Spartanburg, SC 29302; or to Susquehanna Regional Home Care and Hospice, 1100 Grampian Boulevard, Williamsport, PA 17701.
