CLAREMONT ~ Billy Hoyt Pearson, 75, was a son of the late Laurel Von "Jack" Pearson and Irene Hawkins Pearson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Grimsley Pearson, and his brothers, Mitchell Pearson and Joe Pearson.
Bill was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church in Claremont, and the former owner of B&M Textile Sales. He was a mason and member of Riverside Lodge 606 in Catawba, NC, and Belmont Lodge 627. Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean War, and was a member of the American Legion. He had also been involved in scouting and little league baseball.
Interment in Piney Grove Baptist Church.
