Rita M Carey, 90, of Houston, died Thursday at the Coastal Pines Care Center in Hitchcock. Mrs Carey was born August 20, 1898 in Elk City, Kansas, the daughter of Thomas G. and Sarah F. LaForce. She was a member of the Baptist Temple. Survivors include her daughter Patricia Egolinsky, and daughter in-law Shirley Carey, grandsons Jerry Egolinsky, Mark W Carey, and Scott Carey, granddaughters Judy Vaughan, Becky Bradford, Mary Cullum, and Karen Peterson, 15 g grandchildren and three gg grandchildren. Funeral services will be Monday, May 15, 1989 at the Heights Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Mark Neeley will officiate. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday.
