Mildred A. (Huppert) Alt, 78, of Janesville died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2000 at Mercy Hospital, Janesville. She was born in Ellsworth on April 19, 1921, the daughter of Julius and Mary (Green) Huppert. She married Sylvester "Hezzie" Alt on Aug. 12, 1947 in Ellsworth.
She was member of the St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Janesville.
Survivors include her husband, Sylvester; five children, Dennis (Carol) Alt of Janesville, Laureen (James) Ziech of Kalamazoo, Mich., Bonita (James Long) Gable of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Bruce (Lori Grayless) Alt of Evansville and David (Constance Finn) Alt of Jamesville; six grandchildren; five brothers, Cyril (Rosaline) Huppert, Leo T. (Rosella) Huppert, Chester (Jeanine) Huppert, all of Ellsworth, Clair Huppert of Lake Elmo, Minn., and Bernard Huppert of Sun City, Calif; three sisters, Teresa (Willard) Hines of Ellsworth, Leona (Eugene) Miller of Phoenix, Ariz., and Joan (Richard) Risler of Haines City, Fla; sister-in-law, Mary (Norbert) Huppert of Ellsworth; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: five brothers, Norbert, Jerome, James, Basil and Julius, Jr.; two sisters, Dorothy Schwartz and Margaret Huppert; one sister-in-law, Virginia (Clair) Huppert; two brothers-in-law, Linus Schwarz and Willard Hines; one niece and two nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. John Vianney Catholic Church on Jan. 15 with Fr. Mike Doro officiating. Entombment followed in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
