Harry Chaffins Rites Wednesday

Funeral services for Harry Chaffins were conducted by the Rev. Robert Jenkins, Baptist minister, in the Wickenburg Chapel at 5 p.m. Wednesday. Burial followed in the Wickenburg Cemetery with the American Legion conducting graveside rites.

Mr Chaffins, who was 29 years old, died in the Fort Whipple Veterans Hospital at Prescott last Saturday morning. He had been ill since Christmas and was admitted to the hospital February 3.

Born November 11, 1930, in Lackey, KY., Mr Chaffins, had lived in Blythe and Wickenburg for the past eight years. He was an automobile mechanic.

Surviving are the widow, Carolyn, daughter of Mr & Mrs Perry Ball; four children, Harry 6, Lloyd 5, Robert 3 and Kenneth 6 months; two sisters, Mrs James McLaughlin of Blythe and Mrs Irene Williams of Ypsilante, Mich.; two brothers, Lonnie Benett of Blyth and Lloyd Gilbert of Covington, KY.; the mother and step-father, Mr & Mrs Jake Bennett of Blythe.
