Deceased fell a victim to tuberculosis, from which he had suffered for several months, the last two of which were never free from intense agony.
His father, Rufus Ahalt, passed away but a short time since. The young man was aged 37 years, and was born and reared in this vicinity. He was an exemplary, upright citizen, and his passing away will be sincerely mourned by all who knew him.
Friends and neighbors from all over this section of the country were present at the burial, the crowd in attendance being one of the largest seen here in many years.
