Agnes Ewart Thain was born October 14, 1839, in Scotland and died August 25, 1932, at the home of her son, John Thain, near Neosho, at the age of 92 years, 10 months, and 11 days.
She was married to David Thain in June 1862. To this union, five children were born, two girls and three boys.
She is preceded in death by her two daughters and two sisters.
Three sons, David of Scotland, Andrew and John, of Neosho, survive her, beside a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were conducted Saturday, August 27, at the home, by Rev. Cady, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, assisted by Rev. Norris, pastor of the Baptist Church of Neosho. Burial was made in the Neosho I.O. O. F. Cemetery under the direction of Pogues Undertaking Co.
