"Peggy Clinger, 26, native of Orem and member of the famous CLinger Sisters, died Friday, Aug. 8, 1975 in Boulder, Colo.
She was born Jan. 10, 1949 to Joseph Aaron and Lyle Adams Clinger.
She attended schools in Orem and was a member of the LDS Church. She was a graduate of Fry Professional High School in North Hollywood.
She sang with her sisters professionally on television on the Danny Kay Show, Andy Williams Show, Lawrence Welk Show and at Valley Music Hall with Liberace. Peggy also composed the following songs: "I Hate To Sleep Alone," recorded by Cher; "Rock Me Baby," "Mary in the Morning," "Standing in the Need of Love," recorded by Elvis Presley, Donny Osmond and David Cassidy.
She also recorded original pieces "God Bless Rock and Roll" and "Nobody Knows."
Survivors include her parents, North Hollywood; two brothers and six sisters, two of which are living in Provo; the rest in North Hollywood; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Rowe Clinger and Mrs. Blanche Adams, all of Orem.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in North Hollywood. Graveside services will be held saturday at 7 p.m. in the East Lawn Memorial Hills in Provo for family and close friends under the direction of Sundberg - Olpin Mortuary of Orem."
