Ina is the daughter of Elmer Bruce Kettle and Inez Celestia (Whitmore)Kettle.

She Married Frank DeLoy Richens, Sr., on July 1, 1946. They were sealed in the Provo LDS Temple and he later died in 1981. They had 4 children.

She married Elman Bates Curtis, 1994 and he later died in 1997.

INA RICHENS CURTIS of SLC/Independence, UT, age 84, passed away July 4, 2013, surrounded by her family at her home.
Born July 14, 1928, in Neola, to Elmer Bruce and Inez Celeste Whitmore Kettle. Married Frank DeLoy Richens, Sr., on July 1, 1946. They were sealed in the Provo LDS Temple and he later died. She married Elman Curtis and he later died.
Survived by her children, Sandra McKimmey, Moab and Shirley Bussard, Salt Lake City; 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild; brothers and sisters, Ralph (Wanda) Kettle, Altamont; Dick (Jean) Kettle, Randlett; and Pearl Waters, Idaho Falls.
Preceded in death by her husbands, sons, Douglas and Frank Jr.; son-in-law, Larry McKimmey; a sister, Lena Tanner; grandsons, Jerry Richens, Charles McKimmey, Shane Richens, and 2 great-grandsons.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2013, at the Randlett LDS Chapel. There will be a viewing on Friday at the Forest View Ward LDS Chapel located at 1111 East Charlton Avenue, Salt Lake City, from 6-8 p.m. There will also be a viewing at the church from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Saturday.
Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park under the direction of the Hullinger Mortuary.
INA RICHENS CURTIS Ina Rae Kettle Richens Curtis, age 84, of Salt Lake City, formerly of Independence, passed away July 4, 2013, surrounded by her family at her home. She was born July 14, 1928, in Neola, to Elmer Bruce and Inez Celeste Whitmore Kettle. She attended schools in Neola, Alterra and Avalon. Because of her moving often with her family and the difficulty with travel to school, she actually didn't graduate high school until 1978. She married Frank DeLoy Richens, Sr., on July 1, 1946. He later died. She married Elman Curtis and he later died. Ina was a hard worker, being employed with Costuros department store for 19 years and as a cook for the Ute Tribe Headstart for 7 years. The work didn't stop when she came home. She had to haul water to her home until 1975, and she baked bread every week. Her hobbies included embroidery, cooking (which she was excellent at), and traveling, especially to Moab to see her daughter. She was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in the Primary for 30 years and in Mutual for 13. She will be missed and is very loved. Ina is survived by her children, Sandra McKimmey, Moab and Shirley Bussard, Salt Lake City; 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild; brothers and sisters, Ralph (Wanda) Kettle, Altamont; Dick (Jean) Kettle, Randlett; and Pearl Waters, Idaho Falls.
