Frank DeLoy Richens, Sr. , 56 of Fort Duchesne, died March 30, 1981 at his home after a long illness.
He was born Feb. 17, 1925 in Vernal to the late Elmer James and Chloe Elzina (Holmes) Richens. He married Ina Rae Kettle, July 1, 1946 in Vernal and the marriage was later solemnized in the Prove LDS Temple, Jan 31, 1980.
He was a bus driver for the Uintah School "District for 29 years.
Survivors include his wife, Ft. Duchesne; children Douglas Elmer and Frank DeLoy, Jr., Ft Duchesne; Sandra Lee, Salt Lake City and Mrs. Terry (Shirley) Bussard, Tooele; six grandchildren; and brothers and sisters, Mrs Rallph (Florence) Johnson, Mrs. Robert (Myrtle) Telford, Mrs. John (Mary) Alloen, Mrs. Gordon (Reva) Gerber, all of Salt Lake, And Marvin Richens, Tooele. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ida Paquette, a baby sister and a brother, Orville Richens, and a grandson, Jerry Lynn Richens.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the Roosevelt First Ward (Ballard) Chapel. Friends may call Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 10-10:45 a.m. at the Olpin Mortuary. Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Bus Drivers and Supervisors, Ivan Rodgers, Lorraine Bolton, Stan Hoopes, Howard Dean, Alfred Hilquest and Jack Allred.
Honorary pallbearers will be Elroy Walker, Fred Cook, Ron Rodgers, Glen Reynolds, Floyd Workman, Charles Gray, Chris Sapp, Bill Workman, Boyd Winn, Ralph.
