Ruth Presley, age 93 of Fairborn, passed away at home on Thursday August 8, 2013. She was born June 30, 1920 in Indian Gap, Virginia, the daughter of the late Arthur and Tina Rose (Street) Lester. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Walter in 1999; a grandson, Jason Presley in 2004; two brothers, Thurman and Bud; and three sisters, Viola Ruble, Mary Sexton, and Edna Street. She is survived by seven children, 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; and three sisters, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Vitas Hospice for their assistance and care. A funeral service will be held on Monday August 12, 2013 at 12:00 noon in the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Garnet Mullins officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will follow in the Byron Cemetery.
