Obituary 'Springfield Republican' Feb 11, 1968, pg 28: "Wilfred A. Manegre, 57, of 57 High St. was dead on arrival at Wesson Memorial Hospital, Friday night. He was born Aug. 19, 1910, in this city, son of the late Arthur and Matilda (Beauregard) Manegre, and had lived in this city all his life. He was employed as a painter by Roger Vadnais, painting contractor, before retiring in 1964 due to illness. Mr. Manegre was an Army veteran of World War II, having served in the Philippines. Besides his widow, Mrs. Martha (Soklis) Manegre, he is survived by a son, Henry J. of Hampden; four brothers, Aime, Fred, William and Henry, all of this city; a sister, Mrs. Sylvia Manarite of West Springfield: and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held Monday at 8:15 am at George St. Pierre and Son's funeral home, State Street, with a requiem high Mass in St. Joseph's Church at 9. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery."
