Helen Mae (Watson) Hagerman was born March 22, 1899 in Saginaw County, Michigan, near Bridgeport, Michigan. She was the youngest child of John Henry Watson II and wife Charlotte "Lottie" Sarah (Smith) Watson. She grew up on the family farm, and on March 27, 1919, she married Howard Fredrick Hagerman. To their union were born 7 children plus two stillborn sons. In the mid-1930s, the family moved to Three Rivers, Michigan. Helen died July 08, 1884, at the Fairview Medical Facility in Centreville, Michigan.
