Obituary, Decatur Daily, August 9, 1932

The body of Coleman McCarley, who was drowned at Jordan's Landing yesterday afternoon, will be laid to rest today at Somerville. McCarley was in swimming with a party of friends early yesterday afternoon when he apparently suffered an attack of cramps and sank suddenly. His body was recovered about three hours later.

The deceased is survived by his parents, Mr and Mrs R. G. McCarley; two sisters, Mrs Bryan Abbott and Mrs Herschel McCluskey, both of Decatur.

Funeral services were conducted this afternoon at the First Methodist Church in Somerville by Rev Burns and interment made in the Somerville Cemetery, Corsbie directing.
