J.R. ANDERSON, age 89 of Cornelia, GA died Saturday, September 27, 2008 at a local health care facility. Mr. Anderson was born is Habersham County, GA on July 20, 1919 to the late George Mance Anderson Sr. and Rebecca Cash Anderson. He was preceded in death by a sister Marcelle Ansley, brothers Verdell, Ralph, Hilliard and James Anderson. Mr. Anderson was a member of the First Baptist Church, Southern Baptist Men's Fellowship Class, AARP and Helping Hands. He was a U.S. WWII Veteran and a retired Supervisor of Johnson & Johnson (Lumite Division) with 35 years of service. Survivors, wife, Hazel Turner Anderson, Cornelia, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Joyce & Herman Benfield, Cornelia, GA, Sandra Gail & Reggie Haslett, Eatonon, GA; son & daughter-in-law, Thomas George & Lynn Anderson, Clarkesville, GA; sister, Martha Edmonds, Mt. Airy, GA; brother, Truitt Anderson, Hollywood, GA; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Burial will be in the Yonah Memorial Gardens.
