Cecil E. ``Gene'' Marshall, 62, of the 6400 block of Chartwell Drive, a retired ceramic tile mechanic, died June 28, 1995, in Norfolk. Mr. Marshall was born in Charlottesville, Va. He was a member of Chestnut Grove Baptist Church in Earlysville, Va., and a member of Bricklayers and Tile Setters Local Union (NU)1. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of Korea. Survivors include his wife, Mary E. Marshall; two sisters, Ann Garris of Norfolk and Jackie Becker of Charlottesville; and a brother, Carl Marshall of Charlottesville. A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be sent to the American Lung Association. The family wishes to express a special thanks to the employees of Sentara Nursing Center on Newtown Road.
