He was a wonderful, loving father, husband, and brother who always put family first. He was also a good neighbor and would always help anyone to his best ability until his health issues finally prevented him from doing so. He did not have the opportunity for significant education when he was young but he could could fix almost anything. For several years he owned an auto repair shop, in addition, he also had worked at Robbins, at U.S. Reduction and with the Bear Creek Parks. He also owned a grocery store for many years in the community and was a poultry grower for several years. He loved to work and even during his very long illness, he would still want to work.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Sockwell Quinn; son, Randy Quinn; daughter, Wanda Quinn Bradford; brother, Hershel Quinn; and sisters, Marie Gray and Peggy Hammond. Five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild also survive him as do numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Claude and Ruby Glen Posey Quinn; son, Steve Quinn; great grandson: Chance Vandiver; brothers, Curtis and Wayford Quinn; and sisters, Bernice Gasque and Jean Vandiver.
