"Gordy," as he was best known, was born in Klamath Falls, the son of Trevor and Grace Dickinson. The family moved to the Portland area in the early l940's where he lived the rest of his life.

He was a graduate of Lake Oswego High School and Pacific University in Forest Grove where he earned a Bachelors Degree.

He married Jane Elizabeth Nelson and she preceded him in death. He is survived by his two step-daughters, Jane Josephsen of Tacoma, WA and Linda Jangala of Medford, OR.

Also surviving is his sister, Ruthie Waldner of Canby, OR.

Gordy had a long career with the US Postal Service where he worked as a Letter Carrier. He also was a charter member of the Tualatin Elks Lodge, a membership he held for 41 years.

Private Graveside Service will be held at River View Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.
