James M. Dorman was born December 10, 1841 in St. Louis, MO. departed this life April 20, 1921, age 79 years, 4 months and 10 days.
He was united in marriage to Mary Jane Woodhouse February 24, 1864 in Platteville, Wisconsin. To this union were born 4 children, three sons and one daughter; William A., Jessie E., Archie all of Cuba, Kansas and Mrs. J. E. Dean of Lincoln, Nebraska. He with his wife removed to Kansas in 1870 and settled in Republic county two miles north of Cuba and lived in the county until his death. His companion departed this life April 8th, 1918.
At about the age of 38 he with his wife united with the Free Methodist church and remained a member until his death.
He leaves to mourn his death his three sons and one daughter and one sister and a host of friends.
Funeral services were conducted by C.C. Haines and interment in Farmington cemetery, Cuba, Kansas
