Daughter of Rev. Charles A. Stevens and Lucille Mabry Stevens of Fayetteville, NC. Jennifer was a graduate of Mars Hill College and taught for many years in the Cherokee County Schools. At the time of her death, Jennifer was living in Andrews, NC and serving as principal of the Andrews Middle School.

Jennifer married first Dennis Myers of Brasstown by whom she had two children, Heath and Tiffany. Her second marriage was to Jackie R. Clayton, who survives her.

Her father predeceased her. She is survived by her two children, her mother Lucille, her brother Charles and her sister, Jocelyn, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins and her husband Jackie.. Jennifer was a talented musician and singer and was involved with the choirs at both Little Brasstown and Truett Memorial Baptist Churches.

Jennifer fought a brave battle with breast cancer and died at her residence in Andrews surrounded by her family. She is greatly missed by her family, her many friends, her former students, and her colleagues.
