...in the year 1776 I resided in Coventry in Connecticut that in the latter part of the summer and fall of the same year My Father and two of my brothers John Willson and William Willson Jr. were then in the service and the said John Willson belonged to the Company commanded by my Father Capt William Willson of said Coventry and attached to Col Storrs Regiment that during the absence of my Father and brothers which was as near as I can reccollect about four months, TWO OF MY SISTERS ONE ABOUT 12 YEARS AND THE OTHER ABOUT ONE AND HALF YEARS OLD WERE TAKEN SICK AND DIED AND THAT THE CARE OF THE FAMILY DURING THAT TIME DEVOLVED UPON MY MOTHER...
